...was the fox put in charge of the hen house?
Recently the World Health Organization (Who) sent an investigating team to Wuhan, China to trace the origins of the COVID-19 pandemic.
However, we learned from The Wall Street Journal that the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) had veto rights over who would be allowed to travel to Wuhan. The only American allowed to be part of the investigating team was Peter Daszak. Now it becomes obvious why he was hand-picked for this effort.
Daszak has been closely affiliated with the director of the Wuhan Institute of Virology, Shi Zhengli since 2013. He and Shi Zhengli so-authored numerous bat coronavirus studies. In those studies, Daszak and Shi got the deadly virus to “dock” with human cells. At the time, their studies were widely discussed in research circles.
Most comments in the scientific community were negative. Nature, an international journal of science, published an article in 2015 named “Engineered Bat Virus Stirs Debate Over Risky Research.” Those who criticized the experiments warned that the only purpose of such studies was to increase the “virulence and lethality” of viruses. In other words, Daszak and Shi were only conducting research to increase the harmfulness and deadliness of viruses.
When the Obama Administration banned such experiments in the U.S., Daszak outsourced his portion of the work to his friend Dr. Shi and the Institute of Virology. That project was funded by no other than Dr. Anthony Fauci. It is estimated that $3.7 million in U.S. government grans went to the Wuhan lab to conduct those experiments. As a result, Dr. Shi was able to artificially generate a deadly hybrid version of the coronavirus.
So, for Peter Daszak to be appointed to the World Health Organization’s team is an insult to the American public. It is difficult to think of a worst candidate to serve on a team that is supposed to get to the bottom of how the virus originated.
